परसों का नाश्ता आज

समय पर सब कुछ होने की सलाह दी जाती
जल्दी क्या !
और मैं खुद ही देता हूँ
अपनी मोचों पर किसमत का मरहम लगाते हुए
पर तारीखें जैसे पहले से तय
बस याद नहीं कि क्या हो चुका
असावधान वर्तमान में हमेशा अतीत ही उपस्थित,
हाथ बाँधे सिर झुकाए. पर मैं कभी नहीं पहचान पाता.

हरे पेड़ भी भयभीत हैं उस बादल की छाया में
जो प्रकट होता है बेआवाज़,
मुझे बताने से क्या फायदा
आप खुद सुनना नहीं चाहते अपनी जुबानी
कि हजारों फीट से मिसाइल कहीं और ही गिराई जाती है,
सुबह आराम से चाय के साथ पढ़ते हुए
आज खा रहा हूँ परसों का नाश्ता

नई किताब

तेरह कविताओं के अंग्रेजी अनुवाद की द्विभाषी कविता पुस्तिका. कविताओं के हिन्दी से अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद लूसी रोज़नश्टाइन और आयरिश मूल के कवि बनार्ड ओ डैनह्यू ने किये हैं. इसे Poetry Translation Centre London ने ८ जून २०११ को प्रकाशित किया है . संग्रह में शामिल कविताओं का पहली बार सार्वजनिक द्विभाषी पाठ लंदन की The Whitechapel Gallery में आयोजित 'Where Three Dreams Cross: 150 Years of Photography from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh' प्रदर्शनी में ४ फरवरी २०१० को किया गया था. ये कविताएँ ब्रिटिश लाइब्रेरी के श्रव्य संग्रह में भी संग्रहित हैं.
